Taking
aim at young and potential smokers, the cigarette industry has developed
elaborate night club displays, gimmicks and giveaways, ranging from
free cigarettes to free trips, in order to lure a younger generation
to their brand. Driven
by incentives, local bars open their doors for cigarette companies to
reap a young captive audience and valuable market information. This
site will document and and display images of these events as we attain
them.

Marlboro
promotions held in Buffalo, NY, June 2002
Mr. Goodbar - Bradford Win a Party at the Marlboro Ranch bar promotion - Bar patrons register on the Marlboro mailing list and registration table. Upon registering patrons receive a Head West game punch card and giveaway items. The card is punched when a participant complete one of several Marlboro ranch games (customized video games, Top Gun Challenge darts board, and the boot toss among others). Towards the end of the evening a drawing is held to giveaway a trip to the Marlboro Ranch. Recent promotions include giveaway items. |
